The Client
Harmonic are thrilled to be partnering exclusively with a creative studio to aid their search for a Financial Planning and Analysis Director to join their rapidly growing team in their New York City office.
This agency is a well-known Media Agency based in New York, NY that produces women's health, lifestyle and fashion content. They strive to strengthen brand presence using innovative AI technology leveraging data-driven insights, influencer marketing and predictive analytics to craft personalized marketing strategies that set new industry standards.
The Role
As the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), you will play a crucial role in ensuring that these cutting-edge initiatives are financially sound and strategically aligned, providing the financial oversight that supports their ambitious growth and continuous innovation. This is a unique opportunity to integrate financial expertise with a forward-thinking approach to marketing, all within a vibrant and creative environment. As the business scales this position should progress quickly with extensive exposure to C-Level stakeholders and opportunity to step up to VP level
- Develop strategic analysis and annual budgeting
- Provide business partnering and decision support across the business
- Support divisional teams with project planning, forecasting and pricing
- Initially as a sole contributor, build processes and start to establish a team
- Oversee financial aspects of client contracts and projects, ensuring that financial terms are met, and that billing and revenue recognition are accurately managed.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop financial strategies that support the agency’s growth and innovation initiatives, including leveraging AI technology and data analytics.
- Support the CFO with long term strategic planning and the production of Board Reporting
- Extensive Ad-Hoc Projects alongside the Leadership team
- Work with the IT team to implement and optimize financial systems and tools, including AI-driven analytics and reporting platforms.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance or another related field.
- Creative industry (Advertising, Marketing, Media, Entertainment, TV) experience
- Strong Technical skills
- Excellent Communicator
- Positive attitude
- Ambitious and Passionate about media/marketing and advertising
Non-essential Experience (Bonus skills)
- Experience with affiliate or influencer marketing
- Excel certification
Salary: $180,000-$220,000
Start Date: ASAP
