Senior Accountant | Fast Growing Creative Agency | Remote
The Client
Harmonic are thrilled to be partnering with a fast growing independent creative agency, partnering with a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries including sports, tech, and CPG. We specialize in leveraging innovative advertising and technology to drive impactful ideas. With a team of 200 across the business, our client is looking for an individual that will thrive in a collaborative, high-energy environment.
The Role
As the Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the company’s continued growth, ensuring financial processes are sound and compliant. You'll manage critical accounting functions including cash flow, receivables, and treasury management, while also ensuring compliance with New York taxation laws. As a remote position, this role offers flexibility while requiring strong technical skills and the ability to wear multiple hats. You will be involved in projections, managing financial systems, and supporting the leadership team with strategic financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee cash receipts, accounts payable, and receivables, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in day-to-day financial operations.
- Manage cash flow projections, ensuring financial liquidity to support business operations.
- Handle treasury and cash management, maintaining systems and processes that ensure financial health.
- Ensure compliance with New York tax regulations, especially regarding businesses with a physical presence in New York.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop financial strategies supporting the company’s growth initiatives.
- Take ownership of financial projections and assist in long-term strategic planning.
- Initially work independently, then expand processes and team as the company continues to grow.
Required Experience
- Proven experience in accounting, including accounts receivable, cash management, and treasury.
- Strong understanding of New York taxation laws.
- Experience in financial forecasting and cash flow projections.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple financial tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Skills (Non-essential but desirable):
- Experience with Advantage
- CPA or other advanced certifications in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in financial systems and software (QuickBooks, Sage, Excel, Google Sheets)
Salary: $90,000-$120,000
