Role Description
The Human Resource Business Partner is a critical member of the Harmonic North America HR team. In this role, you will partner with functional managers in the execution of HR programs and initiatives. You will work to align business objectives to people programs by working across functions and in partnership with business leaders.
The HRBP will report directly to the VP, HR, Broadband Business.
Location
Hybrid with 3 days in the SJ office.
What you will be doing
- Provide strategic and tactical HR support to client groups in the areas of (but not limited to) workforce planning, performance management, job changes/promotions, compensation, and employee relations;
- Support managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function or business strategy;
- Guide managers in career development initiatives for their teams - job architecture, mapping of roles and other job-specific career ladders;
- Uphold organizational culture by managing and addressing employee relations issues quickly, consistently, and fairly;
- Enhance organizational culture through programs and events;
- Lead the development of the next generation of new managers through training initiatives;
- With in-depth understanding of the business, recommend new approaches, programs, policies, and procedures to drive continuous improvement; and
- Lead company and/or HR projects and initiatives as needed

- HR and leadership experience
- Positive, can-do, attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves
- Ability to establish relationships at all levels of the organization
- Ability to remain flexible and agile in an ever-changing environment along with a willingness to always be learning
- Adept at working effectively with geographically distributed client groups and remote employees
- Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment and autonomy
- Creativity and willingness to try out new ideas
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
Pay & Benefits
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $140,000 - $170,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, location and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
