GENERAL PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to design extraordinary floral arrangements for Harmons customers. This person will be designing floral arrangements, assisting customers with placing orders, keeping the floral design area clean and organized and providing exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
Ensures the quality and freshness of all floral arrangements prepared at the Floral Design Center
Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the Floral Design Center
Assists customers with placing orders online and over the telephone
Prepares floral arrangements according to Harmons recipes or to fit a custom order for customers
Responsible for cleaning, sweeping, removing trash from, and organizing floral design area
Assists with cleaning the rest of the Distribution Center as needed
Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
Sets a professional and positive example to others
Assists as needed to ensure the success of the Distribution Center as a whole
MARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS :

A high school diploma or GED preferred; 1 year floral design experience; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities :
Basic math skills
Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office
Intermediate knowledge of a wide variety of flowers, their seasonality and uses in floral design
Must enjoy working with and handling floral products
Should have a passion for customer service
Ability to interpret policies and procedures
Excellent organization and planning skills
Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with diverse groups of people
Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for ones own success as well as the success of your team
Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons mission and commitment to working collaboratively
Continually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, forward focused and consistent
Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays
