Healthcare Director (DON)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director to lead our organization in delivering exceptional care and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of nursing administration, hospice care, and resident rights. This role requires a proactive approach to managing operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.

Duties

• Oversee daily operations and ensure high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards.
• Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
• Ensure compliance with resident rights and advocate for the needs of patients.
• Manage hospice care and other services, ensuring compassionate support for residents and families.
• Conduct documentation reviews to maintain accurate medical records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans that meet the needs of residents.
• Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and quality of care within the organization.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in nursing management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in nursing administration or a related field.
• Strong supervisory skills with a focus on team development and leadership.
• Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to advocating for patient-centered care.
• Familiarity with documentation review processes and medical records management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a Virginia licensed LPN or above.
• Prefer someone with UAI and ISP certification
