Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role is essential in shaping the educational experiences of preschool-aged children, ensuring they develop foundational skills through engaging activities and structured lesson plans.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes physical education, social skills, and cognitive development.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Provide care and supervision for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with special needs through early intervention strategies.
- Assess and document children's progress in accordance with developmental milestones.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices in early childhood education.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children.
- Knowledge of special education practices and early intervention techniques is a plus.
- Ability to engage children through creative activities while promoting physical education.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for teaching young children.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must be willing to become Montessori Certified if not already.
