Job Title: Groundskeeper
Program/Facility: Montvale
Accountability: Montvale Property Manager
Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining the grounds, trails, pool, and other facilities at Montvale as well as the interior of Harmony’s main office in Knoxville as needed. Also assists the Montvale Property Manager with building projects to include, but not limited to maintenance, repair, remodel, and construction.
Essential Functions:
Montvale Property:
- Responsible for groundskeeping to include mowing, trimming, leaf blowing, tree and stump removal, tree trimming, mulching, trail clearing, and other tasks as directed by the Montvale Property Manager;
- Maintains the Montvale pool to include skimming, vacuuming, general cleaning, backwashing, water testing, and adding chemicals as needed;
- Assists Property Manager with a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to: building maintenance, rehabilitation, construction, and other related projects as needed and directed by supervisor;
- Responsible for the set-up and removal of tables and chairs for outsider user groups and events;
- Assists with on-call coverage in the event the Property Manager is on leave or unavailable.
Job Specifications:
- High school diploma or GED;
- Good communication skills;
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written directions;
- Possesses the ability to work well under pressure;
- Ability to work independently as well as with others;
- Willingness to contribute to discussion in team meetings
- Position requires employee to reside in or near Blount County;
- Basic building skills and knowledge are preferred;
- Closed toe shoes are required;
- A valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation are required;
- Ability to lift 75 pounds;
- Must clear all Harmony required pre-employment background checks. No person shall be employed who has been convicted of any offense against another person;
- Participates in Harmony staff trainings to include, but not limited to completion of mandatory trainings to support compliance with COA standards and professional best practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
