Job Title :   Nursing Manager

Job Summary :

As a Nurse Manager at Harmony Health Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the smooth operation of our nursing department. Your will provide effective leadership and management to a team of nurses, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, managing staff schedules, and ensuring adequate staffing levels. Additionally, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, discharge plans, and clinical management strategies.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Provide leadership and management to a team of nurses, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including managing staff schedules and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, discharge plans, and clinical management strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Medical Documentation & Staff Scheduling – Ensure accurate and thorough documentation and create / manage staff schedules.
  • Substance Use Disorders & Mental Health – Provide support and guidance in managing these conditions.
  • Nursing & Clinical Management – Develop and implement patient care plans, discharge plans, and management strategies.
  • Patient Advocacy & Acute Care – Uphold high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Leadership & Team Management – Lead, motivate, and support a team of nurses.
  • Task Prioritization & Communication – Effectively manage responsibilities with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
  • Valid nursing license in the state of employment.
  • Proven experience in nursing management or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of medical documentation, substance use disorders, mental health, and acute care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of nurses.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in a similar role within a healthcare organization.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Position is required to work in indoor and outdoor environments as needed. Potential exposure to aggressive situations.

  • Monday-Friday 8 : 30am-5pm and On-Call Schedule

    8 hours per day excluding breaks.
