Description of Role:
HHMC & FRC is seeking experience Family Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants who will promote and maintain our patient’s health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician. The desired schedule for these roles would be a 4x10, 8am - 7pm schedule.
Essential Functions:
- Perform history and physical exams on new and established patients, as well as patients being seen for follow-up appointments.
- Provide follow-up and health maintenance care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
- Initiate appropriate treatment and testing required for evaluation of illness based on training and experience.
- Provide counseling and instruction to patients regarding health-related issues.
- Document clinical care of the patient according to established guidelines
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as indicated by training and experience.
- Communicate with patients and family members within state law confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines concerning health-related questions.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement process and other initiatives in the area of employee practice.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Medical License (Required)
- Valid DEA Certificate (Required)
- Board Certified/Board Eligible (Preferred)
- Valid BLS, ACLS, or PALS Certification (Required)
- Up to date immunizations for Hep B, Tdap, and COVID-19
- Overall knowledge of medical office patient care
- Knowledge of confidentiality issues involved with release of medical information
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills including ability to interact with staff and providers at other medical facilities
