- Coordinates file transfers and movement of data to and from customer environments via secure FTP, external encrypted hard drives or various cloud storage locations.
- Reviews internal file transfers and movement of data in collaboration with the Systems Analysts.
- Submits requests for new HHIT secure FTP accounts to be provisioned in advance of 3rd party data delivery as necessary.
- Ensures that adequate storage is provisioned for incoming data in collaboration with the HHIT Information Technology team.
- Controls intake schedule of all discrete and non-structured document / image content as needed for project completion when HHIT resources are not performing the extraction.
- Assists Client resources in facilitating backup of Microsoft SQL databases when it is not necessary for HHIT resources to gain access to Client environments.
- Shares and takes an active role in designing new methods to enhance data intake process efficiency in cooperation with Data Procurement and Delivery Manager and AVP of Data Integration.
- Establishes and maintains standards for quality, efficiency, and timeliness in collaboration with the Data Procurement and Delivery Manager.
- Actively works to reduce risk around data movement and works to suggest and implement automation tools.
- Creates and maintains process documentation as related to the role.
- Performs project-related activities as assigned by Data Procurement and Delivery Manager.
- Specific emphasis on data accuracy, to ensure data delivered will meet the needs of the customer outlined in the statement of work.
- Acts as a technical resource for the Project Management team.
- Demonstrates strong analysis and problem-solving acumen in collaboration with teammates.
- Works with team members to troubleshoot issues and strategize potential solutions for roadblocks encountered.
- Clearly communicates escalations around off-track project work to the Data Procurement and Delivery Manager in a timely fashion.
- Takes ownership for ensuring timely project task completion while working closely with team members to increase quality of deliverables and reduce rework.
- Monitors all projects and work assignments in progress and provides daily status reports to the Data Procurement and Delivery Manager via stand-up meetings, emails and Clarizen updates.
- Always provides excellent customer service.
- Communicates with customers and other staff members in a courteous, responsive, and helpful manner.
- Assists in the care and maintenance of department facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Participates in committees and/or focus groups as requested.
- Completes other job-related assignments and special projects as directed.
- BS or MS in Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar; or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in the Systems Analyst position or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience and knowledge of the following:
- Relational and non-relational database structures and flat file systems
- Microsoft SQL Server import / export routines and linked servers
- Structured query language for various platforms (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL, MySQL, etc.)
- OS: Windows, Unix, Linux, AS400
- ETL processes and procedures
- File transfer protocol
- Cloud Storage platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, OCI, etc.
- Experience taking accountability for high-profile projects.
- Possesses impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal qualities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Drive to complete project deliverables to meet potentially aggressive timeline requirements.
- Strong desire to innovate and improve current processes and procedures to drive team efficiency and quality of work products.
