What are the responsibilities and job description for the Piano Teacher position at Harmony Home Music LLC?
Overview
Harmony Home’s mission is to provide exceptional in-home music lessons while demonstrating the love of Christ through our daily interactions with our students and their families. You MUST have a reliable mode of transportation, pass a background check, and be willing to drive up to 30 minutes. We try and keep travel to a minimum for our teachers by pairing them with students that are close to them. Expect to drive 20 minutes to a student. If there is a student we assign you that is on the farther side, we are willing to compensate you for travel.
Responsibilities
- When we assign you a lead, you must reply to them in a timely fashion.
- Arrive on time for lessons and have good communication with your students.
- If you are running late to a lesson, be sure to communicate that with your student.
- Attend recitals if your students are participating. We host recitals twice a year at the end of each semester. It is our expectation that you will be there if your student is participating.
- Be sure to log your lessons accurately as to not overcharge a student. We will clearly explain how to do this in our hiring process.
- As a contractor, you have total control of your schedule and complete control over how many students you'd like to work with. You are also responsible for planning lessons and using whatever curriculum you'd like.
Qualifications
Must be responsible and a good communicator. If you have a bachelors in music or are earning one that is a plus. Being a multi instrumentalist is also a plus.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $54.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 20 per week
