Job Overview:
You will work 3pm to 9pm Monday - Friday and CAN pick up another weekend shift if so desired.
You will share responsibility for three clients with one other tenured staff.
We Ideally would like to hire someone with a med passing certificate, current CPR, and who lives near Woodbury.
Ideally, we will train asap and have you will start in one week.
- You must live within 15 minutes of Maplewood/Woodbury (55119/55125).
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide personalized support to women in their home and in the community. The clients are not aggressive. They have developmental disabilities and mood disorders.
Duties:
- Provide hands-on support to client with daily living tasks, such as personal care, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Assist with medication management, including administration and monitoring.
- Assist in developing and implementing an individualized care plan that meet her unique needs.
- Monitor and document client progress, including any changes in her condition or behavior.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including laundry, housekeeping, and meal planning.
- Provide transportation to appointments, the gym and social events, as needed.
- Engage client in activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being.
- Communicate effectively with client, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on best practices in patient care and support.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with people with disabilities or chronic illnesses, preferably in a group home setting.
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely and comfortably, as needed.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with 245D regulations and standards.
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and support to client.
- Valid driver's license, if applicable.
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Skills:
- Experience in home care or group home settings.
- Knowledge of patient observation and care plans.
- Familiarity with Person Centered Care.
- Experience working with people with disabilities.
- Ability to lift safely and comfortably.

-Our staff maintain a safe route of egress for staff and clients by maintaining sidewalks and driveway and keeping them free from snow/ice. You may need to assist with shoveling/snow blowing or placing salt on your shift.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
