What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Medical Technician position at Harmony Immigration Services?
Duties:
- Provide patient care in the emergency department per policies and scope of practice.
- Admit, assess, and prioritize patient needs while implementing emergency care.
- Carry out physician orders, administer medications/IVs, and monitor patient conditions.
- Observe and document vital signs, notifying physicians of any abnormalities.
- Assist physicians during treatments and examinations.
- Maintain accurate patient records to ensure continuity of care.
- Follow hospital policies and protocols in all situations.
- Assist in training staff on new techniques and policy updates.
- Understand the roles and scope of EMS, paramedics, and nurses.
Skills:
1 year of experience is preferred.
Certifications/License:
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required before hire; ITLS recommended within 6 months; IV certification mandatory.
- EMT State license required
