The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the Company in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry and serves as an integral member of the executive leadership team. This position will provide overall direction and guidance to the Accounting and Finance departments for Harmony Senior Services and affiliated Real Estate Development Company (collectively, the “Company”) in accordance with the policies of the management company, the Company Owners, and Federal/State/Local laws and regulations. The role would not be responsible for managing debt and equity.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Strategic direction and management of the company’s financial, accounting, and planning functions. Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance.
- Oversees all financial management, to include Accounting, Budgets, Forecasting, Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis, Internal Controls, Treasury, Financial Policy, and Development.
- Participate in the development of the Company’s plans and programs as a strategic partner.
- Implementation of operations and systems to help support and drive the Company to achieve and surpass business goals and objectives.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
- Generate reports based on the Company’s statistics to properly reflect the effectiveness of all processes.
- Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; Master’s degree in business, finance or related field preferred; CPA a plus.
- (10 ) years accounting and finance experience with a growing company; (5 ) years progressive work experience in a Chief Financial Officer or Senior Leadership role.
- Experience in Senior Housing, Real Estate Development, or other Healthcare or Real Estate is essential.
