What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Staff / Direct Service Worker position at Harmony?
Duties:
- Provides quality of care, a safe and healthy setting that is free from harm, and with a mindful upholding of the rights of residents.
- Assists with daily living activities for residents.
- Provides supervision for residents at all times, which includes bed checks in accordance with policy.
- Performs routine cleaning of the facility, including laundry.
- Facilitates program as established by administrators.
- Responds to residents’ needs and ensures residents receive appropriate care and attention.
- Completes documentation as needed.
- Reports any issues related to resident safety or supervision immediately.
- Supports the implementation of new processes or house rules and provides feedback to administrators about implementation challenges.
- Assist with transportation to appointments or recreational activities.
- Document and report any changes in the individual's condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisor.
- Promote independence and respect the rights of individuals under your care.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to pass a Federal Background Check and Child Abuse and Neglect Registry.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with individuals of all ages.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
