What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at HarmonyTech?
Position is in the National Capital Region (Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia) and requires U.S. citizenship.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient production monitoring and support.
- Lead and coordinate multiple tasks and projects, providing technical guidance to the project team.
- Review and assess the quality of work products, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and execution of all project support activities.
- Utilize production monitoring tools to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement and manage logging aggregator and analyzer tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging team members to share insights and solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in production support and automation.
- 5 years of experience in production monitoring, automation, and production support.
- Proficiency in production monitoring tools such as AppDynamics or similar.
- Experience with logging aggregator and analyzer tools like Splunk, ELK, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with container environments, including Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS EKS, and associated monitoring tools (Kiali, Prometheus, Jaeger, Grafana).
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift, AWS EKS, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies, particularly ISTIO.
- Experience with monitoring tools specific to OpenShift, Kubernetes, ISTIO, and RHEL7 Virtual Machines.
- Familiarity with Splunk and its functionalities.
- General knowledge of Spring Boot is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
