What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tank Wagon Driver position at Harms Oil?
As a Commission-paid CDL Driver with Harms Oil Company, your role is to safely load, transport, and deliver the correct product from supplier to customer – timely and accurately. And, as the face of the company, you ensure our reputation for friendly service is maintained with every stop.
CDL Drivers will earn both a base hourly rate plus a commission. Excellent pay plus a benefits package including an industry-leading 401k! Full-time hourly wage paid hourly while training. You will be riding for several weeks with an experienced driver. After training, you will be switched to hourly commission-based pay. You will also be home every night and will be driving late-model, well-maintained equipment. All while being part of a family company that values professional drivers like you.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Driving a bulk truck with a liquid tank to transport and deliver materials in liquid form.
- Follow all safety practices and federal, state, and local regulations for operating petroleum transport.
- Accurately load and unload liquid products.
- Communicate with customers, dispatchers, shops, etc. professionally and courteously.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Drivers must possess a Commercial Class A or B driver’s license with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements or be able to obtain endorsements by the date of hire.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
- Must have the ability to read and write the English language and perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Pass drug, alcohol, and medical exams according to company and DOT regulations.
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday with occasional weekends.
