They are now seeking a results-driven Data Analyst to join their rapidly growing analytics team.
Role Overview
This position is integral to supporting the organization's mission of transforming education through technology and data-driven decision-making. In this role, the Data Analyst will play a key part in democratizing data and fostering innovation. Reporting to the Head of Analytics, responsibilities include building dashboards using data visualization tools, querying an AWS data warehouse to uncover insights for stakeholders, and developing SQL data models in dbt. This position is integral to supporting the organization's mission of transforming education through technology and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract and analyze data from a data warehouse using SQL to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders both internal and external.
- Design and maintain SQL transformations in dbt for various reporting use cases.
- Partner with data engineers to develop and refine datasets that meet reporting needs.
- Create and manage dashboards in Looker for senior leadership and operational teams across the company's network.
- Collaborate with school operations and management to gather business requirements and translate them into effective SQL solutions.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline such as Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or equivalent experience in data analytics.
- 3 years of experience writing complex SQL queries.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, PowerBI).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in an accessible manner.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience SQL coding in dbt and/or LookML coding preferred.
