THE ROLE– Data Scientist
In this capacity, you will leverage predictive and descriptive analytics, geospatial analysis, and commercial data insights to solve complex business challenges in the pharma space. You will work closely with clients, internal teams, and product/R&D teams to generate insights that drive decision-making, improve patient engagement, and optimize commercial strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to pharma clients, translating business problems into data-driven solutions.
- Apply predictive analytics, descriptive analytics, and geospatial modeling to analyze healthcare market trends and customer behavior.
- Work on commercial and medical use cases, including clinical trials, revenue generation, and patient journey analysis.
- Engage in business development opportunities, including consulting, data analysis, and strategic storytelling via presentations and reports.
- Collaborate with data science associates and client engagement teams to develop actionable insights.
- Interface with product and R&D teams to collect, process, and analyze internal pharma data.
- Utilize modern data tools and programming languages, including cloud-based platforms, statistical modeling techniques, and machine learning methodologies.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. Master's preferred.
- Hands-on proficiency with best-of-breed tools such as SQL and Python is required.
- Previous experience in data science, with a strong background in pharmaceutical analytics.
- Prior client-facing experience in a consulting or analytics role within pharma, biotech, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of commercial pharma data, clinical trials, and patient behavior analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and tell a compelling story.
- Experience with predictive analytics, geospatial analysis, and commercial pharma metrics.
- Proficiency in statistical programming languages and cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to work on multidisciplinary teams with data scientists, product teams, and R&D.
