$130,000 - $170,000 BASE BONUS

THE COMPANY:
Our client is a start-up that helps the nuclear power and energy industry safely automate some of its most critical processes. Given the documentation-heavy nature of building and maintaining nuclear power systems, this AI-driven platform enhances efficiency by automating these essential workflows.
YOUR PART:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable server-side applications and APIs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
- Contribute to the architecture and design decisions of the backend infrastructure
- Conduct and oversee code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency
- Collaborate closely with the product team, participating in product design sessions and bringing new features to life.
- Be 80-90% technical hands-on, driving backend development with the Fast API framework (or Django/Flask if necessary, though Fast API is preferred).
- Occasionally jump into customer support calls or diagnose client-side issues alongside the full-stack engineers.
- Explore open-source libraries and proactively design robust solutions.
- Work closely with the DevOps team and other engineers to design and implement backend features, scaling the platform to handle new challenges and functionalities.
Have the option to step away from backend work periodically if needed, while still contributing to the overall system architecture.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- STRONG Python Backend Experience
- Fast API, Django, or Flask
- Personable approach to provide customer support and engage in product design discussions
- Ability to work independently and make impactful contributions in a hands-on technical role.
- Willingness to occasionally diagnose client-side issues when needed.
- Thrive in fast-moving environments
