We are seeking an experienced Senior Director to lead our expanding Micro Markets, Vending, and Office Coffee Service (OCS) operations based in Huntsville, Alabama. This is a dynamic business-to-business role requiring a proven leader to secure and manage contracts with Fortune 500 accounts through direct solicitation, sales, and relationship-building.
Position Summary
The Senior Director will oversee all aspects of Micro Markets, Vending, and OCS operations in the greater Huntsville area. This includes managing client and community relationships, budgets, employee performance, and food delivery across multiple locations. The role directly supervises six routes, one warehouse, and a single sales representative, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service delivery.
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented leader with a customer-first mindset, strong analytical abilities, and a track record of driving business growth and increasing market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively manage daily operations, including hands-on oversight and training of vending staff and one direct-report salesperson.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with clients, customers, and the local community.
- Deliver exemplary customer service to maintain client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Develop and implement a strategic growth plan to remain competitive in the vending, Micro Markets, and quick-service food markets.
- Analyze financial performance, create accurate forecasts, and ensure profitability while upholding high service standards.
- Collaborate with local suppliers and manage inventory, equipment, and ordering processes.
- Drive operational efficiency and optimize productivity across all routes and the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
- Support new installations by assisting with scheduling and coordination as needed.
- Contribute to the sales process by identifying opportunities, soliciting new business, and closing contracts.
- Design and implement a training program tailored to regional needs, enhancing the skills of Customer Service Managers and staff.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing vending, Micro Markets, or OCS operations, ideally within a B2B environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a small team, including a direct-report salesperson.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Analytical mindset with expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a passion for driving growth and profitability.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with the Huntsville, Alabama market or willingness to relocate is a plus.
