General Summary
Harper Brothers Construction (HBC) is seeking a Safety Minded, Results Driven, Goal Oriented, Utility Foreman to grow with its North Texas Area operations. The Foreman (Utility) will have strong knowledge of the drainage, water and wastewater industry and understand the dynamics and hazards of working with multiple types of underground and site conditions.
The ideal candidate would have 5 years of experience overseeing and managing day-to-day operations on utility construction projects. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and timely completion of projects while managing a crew, equipment, and resources on-site. The Foreman (Utility) will be a key leader on the job site, maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and complete a job safety analysis every morning to address safety concerns to ensure the employees work in a safe manner
- Supervise and direct assigned employees in accordance with safety and project parameters.
- Demonstrate solid team leadership and assist with crew training and development.
- Have a strong understanding of the project plans and specifications.
- Manage tools, materials and supplies.
- Manage the equipment utilization.
- Report and track all productions and progress of work.
- Reporting of production and action items under correct cost codes in company approved software.
- Coordinate inspections with appropriate authorities.
- Communicate at all levels of the organization to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
- Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with safety codes, DOT, OSHA, and MSHA, and other regulations.
- Drive and operate heavy construction equipment, as needed.
- Daily reporting of time, equipment, and material usage.
- Demonstrates independent thinking and initiative on a consistent and regular basis.

Organizational Relationships:
Reports to the Utility Superintendent. Works with other employees at all levels and outside vendors.
Promotion Path:
This position may promote to a higher level or acquire added responsibilities, based on company growth.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
