What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager for busy Interior Design Firm position at Harper Drake Home?
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our interior design company. The ideal candidate will be self motivated and bring creativity, technical skills, and strong organizational abilities to support our projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities:
1. Design Support: Ability in creating design concepts, layouts, and plans using software such as CAD, Chief Architect, SketchUp, or Revit. ect. Prepare detailed 3D models, floor plans, and renderings to communicate design ideas effectively
.2. Material Sourcing & Specification: Research and source materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with project requirements and client preferences. Create detailed specification sheets for materials, products, and fixtures.
3. Project Management: Place orders for furnishings, fixtures, and materials while ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Coordinate with clients, trades, contractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met.Create project schedules
- Monitor project schedules and communicate updates to the design team and clients.
4. Administrative Support: Maintain project files, budgets, and documentation. Assist with client presentations and preparation of design proposals.
Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with CAD, Chief Architect, SketchUp, or Revit.
At least 2 years of experience in an interior design firm, with knowledge of residential building codes and luxury client services OR an interior design degree Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with clients, team members, and external partners.
Knowledge of current design trends, materials, and finishes. Passion for interior design and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Experience managing budgets and timelines for design projects.
Must have driver's license and own vehicle
Must be able to lift 40 pounds (think of helping on install day, etc.)-
Must be comfortable on construction sites
Preferred Skills: Familiarity with sourcing platforms and design software tools.
Location: This is an in person job. Kennewick Wa. part time, with room for growth
