About the Role - Senior Project Architect – This role involves leading all phases of the design process with proficiency and expertise while maintaining project goals, design excellence, and high standards in execution and project management.
Responsibilities
- Managing technical aspects of projects, design decisions, and financial goals.
- Leading documentation development, drawing production, and quality control reviews.
- Ensuring projects meet firm standards, contractual obligations, and design intent.
- Coordinating with internal disciplines and external consultants.
- Overseeing regulatory compliance, including building codes, accessibility, and zoning.
- Managing construction contract administration and project coordination.
- Staying informed about emerging building technologies and engineering systems.
- Supporting marketing efforts, proposal preparation, and client communications.
- Leading design reviews, charrettes, and collaborative team discussions.
- Providing mentorship and oversight to project team members.
Qualifications
Technical Proficiencies:
- Knowledge of building, zoning, energy, and accessibility codes.
- Experience with site analysis, preliminary design studies, contract documents, and construction administration.
- Strong project team organization, consultant coordination, and client communication skills.
Software Proficiency:
- Advanced Revit skills.
- Experience with Rhino (including Grasshopper scripting).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop).
- Knowledge of visualization tools such as Enscape, Lumion, and VRay.
- Experience with 3D printing, laser cutting, and environmental analysis software (Pollination Ladybug, Climate Studio).
Licensure & Certifications:
- Architectural license.
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field.
- LEED GA certification within six months of hire.
- Professional accreditation in at least one area of sustainable design (LEED AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation).
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
