What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Civil Engineer position at Harper Harrison?
Civil Engineer – Land Development (PE)
Location: Greater West Palm Beach
Full-time, on-site
Luxury Community Home Builder
I’m working with a Florida-based developer that’s growing its engineering and land development function in-house. They’re looking for a Civil Engineer with a background in residential or site development to join the team and work across multiple active communities in the region.
This role sits on the development side — not a consultant position — and gives you direct ownership of plan production, permitting, and field coordination. If you’ve been in civil consulting and want to be closer to the action, this could be the right next move.
What you’ll be doing:
- Producing civil site plans, including roadways, drainage, grading, and utility layouts
- Running engineering calcs and coordinating with permitting agencies
- Supporting projects from due diligence through construction and delivery
- Preparing reports, estimates, and field inspection documents
- Working with land development, construction, and architecture consultants.
What they’re looking for:
- 4-8 Years of experience in land development or site civil design - Job title and compensation will be dependent on experience
- Civil 3D proficiency and knowledge of Florida design standards
- PE License or EIT preferred (or on track to become licensed in Florida)
- Strong communicator who can manage their workload and solve problems in the field
The role is full-time and based in Boynton Beach. The team is stable, busy, and backed by an active development pipeline — it’s a solid move if you’re looking for long-term growth with a builder.
