Qualifications:

  • 5  years of Human Resources experience required, including prior recruiting experience
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and compliance requirements
  • Experience with payroll processing systems (ADP & UKG – Ultimate)
  • Must have a keen attention to detail and be able to multi-task.
  • Ability to manage time and multiple responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced environment with proven problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively work with all levels of management
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently to meet timelines.
  • Customer-service oriented, friendly and collaborative
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems

The salary for this position is $60,000- $70,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Senior Leaders to champion a culture in which people feel engaged and inspired.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for employee inquiries
  • Under supervision of Sr. Manager, People – address employee relations issues. Conduct thorough and objective investigations.
  • Assist Sr. Manager in developing/updating HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of the business.
  • Administer the recruitment process. Post job openings, screen and schedule interviews, conduct background and reference checks, create offer letters.  Partner with staffing agencies to identify, track and onboard temporary resources.
  • Initiate onboarding cycle of all new hires and conduct new hire orientations.
  • Review benefits with all new hires and assist with enrollment when necessary.
  • Process weekly payroll in UKG (Ultimate) and ADP (for temporary workforce). Serve as back-up to LaPorte facility.  Track attendance for hourly workforce.
  • Analyze and interpret various types of reports (i.e., compensation, attrition, etc.) to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions.
  • Administer leaves (i.e., short-term disability, FMLA, worker’s compensation, etc.) and provide necessary information to employees for claim processing.
  • Complete market surveys and provide job-related wage recommendations.
  • Assist with the communication of new company policies and other HR initiatives.
  • Assist with planning morale events.

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
