Summary/Objective: As an electrician, you play an essential role in providing detailed technical expertise to perform installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems. As an electrician, you understand fully the responsibilities of a helper/top helper and can utilize your skills to develop subordinates as well execute advanced electrical skills.
Duties and Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Installing, maintaining, modifying and repairing of all electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments.
- Identification of electrical problems and coordinating the repair of issues.
- Conducting general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues with the appropriate testing equipment.
- Assist with job layout and executing daily activities.
Competencies: ·
- Strong communication skills.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Experienced knowledge of electrical blueprints, schematics and takeoffs.
- Experienced knowledge of layout of raceways and installation of raceways.
- Experienced knowledge of transformer wiring.
- Experienced knowledge of diagnosing electrical failures and repair of failures.
- Experienced knowledge of various voltage panel wiring.
- Experienced knowledge of wiring installations.
- Experienced knowledge with underground electrical installations.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
- Perform roll with confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Work Environment:
This position is required to work in a variety of conditions relative to construction jobsite environments and must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, as assigned. Exposure to weather, heat, etc. is expected.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to perform medium work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must possess the visual acuity to operate equipment and motor vehicles, perform trades tasks, inspect the work of others, and review work for accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness.
Travel Required:
Minimal travel required. Occasional errands or company meetings may be needed. Employee will have access to the company flex vehicle if available.
