Summary/Objective: As an electrician helper, you play an essential role in assisting electrical crews with installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
Duties and Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Helping with installation of wiring, lighting, and other electrical systems.
- Assisting with maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
- Running and pulling electrical cables and wires.
- Preparing equipment and tools necessary for efficient job performance.
- Providing general support to electricians as needed.
Competencies:
- Strong communication skills.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
- Basic knowledge of mathematical concepts related to electrical work.
- Ability to work in a team as well as work independently.
- Maintain documentation of work/troubleshooting activities.
- Responsible for inventory of material use for specific jobs.
- Remodel work.
- Assist with all repairs, tests, replacement and installation of electrical equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical blueprints, schematics and symbols.
- Perform roll with confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Work Environment:
This position is required to work in a variety of conditions relative to construction jobsite environments and must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, as assigned. Exposure to weather, heat, etc. is expected.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to perform medium work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must possess the visual acuity to operate equipment and motor vehicles, perform trades tasks, inspect the work of others, and review work for accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness.
Travel Required:
Minimal travel required. Occasional errands or company meetings may be needed. Employee will have access to the company flex vehicle if available.
