Local Payroll Provider seeking a Support Specialist to join our team. We are a full-service payroll provider that has been focused on all aspects of payroll processing for a wide variety of clients for over 50 years. Job Title: Support Specialist
Class Type: Full Time, Monday – Thursday 9AM – 6PM, Friday 9AM – 5PM
Location: Worcester, MA. Hybrid available after training.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the daily submissions of data to various third-party vendors utilizing multiple platforms and submission methods. File submissions are for data such as 401k contributions and bank account reconciliation. Accuracy, attention to detail and meeting deadlines are an absolute must.
- Acting as a liaison between clients and third-party vendors to ensure data accuracy and successful client experience.
- Monitor daily payroll processing for our client base. Evaluate, authorize, and bill off-cycle payrolls.
- Evaluate Risk Assessment Audits on a per client basis to determine potential errors and mitigate risk.
- Manage daily tasks associated with banking transactions that occur as part of payroll. Tasks will include processing and analysis of transactions such as employee direct deposits and payroll tax related payments. As part of this process, you will work directly with our clients to resolve any transactions that do not post correctly.
- Manage the bank account that clients’ employee checks are issued from. This will involve stop payments, daily exceptions, reconciliation and working with clients to ensure checks are being cashed timely.
Qualifications
- Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously – prioritize and complete requests in an efficient manner. Ability to be flexible and respond to varied requirements.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Must be assertive and eager to contribute in an extremely fast-paced organization; self-directed and self-motivated.
- Possess strong teamwork traits that will allow for successful cooperation, communication, and collaboration with others within this department as well as other departments in the organization.
- Possess the ability to handle sensitive information and recognize the need for confidentiality.
- College Degree and payroll experience preferred but not required.
