Job Description

Harpst Becker LLC, a business law firm located in Akron, Ohio, is seeking an experienced professional to support a busy business litigation, construction law, business law, and commercial collections practice. This position will directly support the firm’s managing partner. Candidates must have a high school diploma and 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant handling litigation and business law matters in a law firm setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required. Experience with Abacus Law, Lexis/Nexis, LexWorkplace, Simplicity, and/or recording mechanic’s liens is a plus. The right candidate will be able to manage multiple attorney litigation calendars, format pleadings and motions, file and serve court filings and maintain the firm’s document database. The firm is interested in energetic team players who enjoy collaborating with co-workers to produce high quality legal work. Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a high school diploma and 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal handling litigation and business law matters in a law firm setting.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
