POSITION TITLE: Restaurant Manager
DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage (Landing Café, Employee Cafeteria, Food Market, Gordon Ramsay)
GRADE/FLSA STATUS: L11 – Exempt
BADGE TYPE/COLOR: Key - Blue
REPORTS TO: Manager, F&B
SUPERVISES: Food Service Supervisors
JOB SUMMARY:
Contribute to the operating success of the property by operating a successful and exciting restaurant.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Establish and endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
Ø Energetic people person who is a highly visible front of house manager specializing in building strong relationships with players & employees
Ø Prepare annual budgets and plans for restaurants
Ø Prepare annual staffing projections for restaurants and kitchens
Ø Provide input and feedback on menu design
Ø Ensure all food and beverage served meet established standards
Ø Enforce appearance standards
Ø Encourage Spotlight standards; serve as Spotlight role model
Ø Build templates for schedules, shift logs, seating charts
Ø Ensure service recovery activities
Ø Selection of new employees, training and providing each with the knowledge, development and appropriate direction to perform his/her responsibilities
Ø Ensure all work schedules are posted timely as required and employees are properly notified of any changes
Ø Provide continuous positive coaching for development of employees and appropriate corrective action when necessary
Ø Ensure completion and delivery of timely and accurate performance appraisals and maintains accurate work history entries
Ø Special projects, as requested
Ø Exhibit sound decision-making with emphasis on motivating team and maintaining high morale
Ø Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved with projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions
Ø Develop and maintain strong teamwork between the front of house and back of house restaurant personnel as well as work with other departments for the overall good of the casino
Ø Responsible for, or actively participates in, the initiation of personnel actions including but not limited to: interviews, employee development, training, candidate selection, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions
Ø Train subordinates, providing each with the knowledge, development, and appropriate direction to perform his/her responsibilities
Ø Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
Ø Monitor employees with cash to ensure proper cash handling procedures
Ø Conduct a physical inventory of bar ware and requisition replacement items as needed
Ø Ensure all employees are following guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC Commission and/or NC ABC Commission
Ø Monitor asset control of liquor bottles, draft and bottled beer and wine
Ø Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
Ø Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ø High school diploma or GED required
Ø BSBA from an accredited educational institution in business or hospitality preferred
Ø Three years’ experience in the Food and Beverage industry required
Ø Three years managerial experience in a full-service restaurant required
Ø CARE certified
Ø Manager ServeSafe certified
Ø Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIROMENTAL DEMANDS:
Ø Must be able to be on feet for minimum of 8-hour shift
Ø Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grasp items
Ø Must be able to lift 25 pounds and carry 5 pounds
Ø Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
Ø Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ø Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds and air quality including secondhand smoke
Ø Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
