Job Description
- Knows and promotes current casino events and programs and can give guests directions to all casino areas.
- Manning entry points and securing the pit.
- Collect admission tickets and passes from patrons at entertainment events.
- Examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity, using criteria such as color or date issued.
- Potentially selling chair rentals.
- Thanks customers, invites them back, wishes them luck and makes it easy for them to get back in play.
- Provides fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to guests.
- Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines.
- Ensures regulatory, internal controls and policy and procedure compliance.
- Accountable for meeting or exceeding all State of Iowa and the Company’s sanitation requirements.
- Operates a cash register/POS System, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.
- Operates and maintains equipment as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
- Complete all assigned closing duties at end of shift.
- Resolves service problems according to guidelines
- Maintains clean and stocked workstation
- Dress in appropriate uniform/attire based upon event/venue.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Six months experience in a customer contact position.
- Good oral communication skills must be fluent and literate in English.
- Ability to respond calmly and maintain composure in high volume, stressful situations.
- Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
- Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds and air quality.
- Successful or better performance against Performance Appraisal Standards.
- Ability to follow direction and effectively manage assigned tasks in a demanding work environment.
- Compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and safety requirements.
- Teamwork – ability to work collaboratively with other departments and leaders to complete property/corporate initiatives and effective day to day operations.
