ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Move and stack fertilizer bags and pallets within the warehouse.
- Ability to operate forklift as necessary to move product within the warehouse.
- Dock work to include moving, stacking, and emptying up to 100 pound bags, stacking and wrapping pallets, and cleaning.
- Must be familiar with safety and health factors that are recognized in all processes.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local ordinances affecting this position.
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and programs.
- Maintain valid licenses, certifications and/or permits required to perform responsibilities.
- Ensure cleanliness of plant and raw materials storage area.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Minimum High School Degree or GED equivalent preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Experience operating forklift and skid steer loader.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must have basic knowledge in production environment.
- Must be self-motivated and can work independently.
- Must be able to read and interpret run list.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Communicating with internal and external customers – must be able to talk, hear, see, and comprehend.
- Mobility of arms – Must be able to reach, and use arms to manipulate small objects.
- Mobility inside the plant – Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Work is routinely performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface, with frequent exposure to both internal and external environment.
- Frequent exposure to severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
- Frequent exposure to dust, and noise levels that exceed a normal threshold.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
- Must wear steel-toed boots.
- Recommended: Safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, back brace, and safety attire as noted by guides provided in specific areas. These items will be provided by Harrell’s upon request.
- Personal Protective Equipment must be worn in accordance with SDS recommendations.
