ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Safe operation of the skid steer.
- Use skid steer to pick up bulk raw materials and load into the weight pan. Accuracy of the material and weight is the primary function.
- Periodically load raw materials into bins.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and preparedness of the raw material bins.
- Will operate a forklift periodically based on daily need.
- Daily housekeeping and periodic deep cleaning projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum High School Degree or GED equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating a skid steer. Will have to demonstrate skill.
- None.
- Must know the all different types of raw materials used in blending fertilizer.
- Must be organized, self-motivated and can work independently.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Communicating with internal and external customers – must be able to talk, hear, see, and comprehend.
- Mobility of arms – Must be able to reach, and use arms to manipulate small objects.
- Mobility inside the plant – Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.
- Mobility of legs- must be able to get in and out of loader multiple times per day.
- Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Work is routinely performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface, with frequent exposure to both internal and external environment.
- Frequent exposure to severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
- Frequent exposure to dust, and noise levels that exceed a normal threshold.
- Must wear steel-toed boots.
- Recommended: Safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, back brace, and safety attire as noted by the guides provided in specific areas. These will be provided by Harrell’s upon request.
- Personal Protective Equipment must be worn in accordance with SDS recommendations.
