What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant/ Front Desk Receptionist position at Harrelson & Harrelson LLP?
Harrelson & Harrelson, LLP, a general practice, litigation, probate, and real estate law firm in Troy, Ohio, is seeking a Legal Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. We are currently open to this being a part-time position of approximately 30 hours per week or full time. This can be discussed in further detail during the interview process.
This individual will provide excellent customer service as the voice and face of our firm in welcoming clients and other visitors and answering the telephone, providing assistance, helping schedule appointments, and providing general assistance in a variety of areas. Additionally, transportation is required as their will be minimal travel to run items to the post office, court and local banks. This individual will also assist our attorneys and paralegals in various projects, file maintenance, scanning tasks, and other similar needs. Lastly, this individual will also support our wholly-owned subsidiary, Midwest Ohio Title Agency, in the same areas (mainly receptionist and customer services duties).

In this role, you can expect to:
- Provide exceptional customer service as the initial recipient of inbound telephone inquiries
- Welcome clients and other guests to our office
- Assist with the preparation of conference rooms for meetings, real estate closings, and other needs
- Scan active and closed files and assist with file management tasks (including documenting closed file processes and procedures)
- Be challenged to grow your understanding of law firm operations and advance your abilities
Exceptionally Qualified Candidates will also have prior experience:
- Preparing forms, legal documents, pleadings, and other related documents

- Transportation and the ability to make daily runs to the post office, court and local banks as needed. Rarely travel is required to out of county courts and mileage reimbursement is provided outside of Troy.
