Harrelson & Harrelson, LLP, a transactional, litigation, probate, and real estate law firm in Troy, Ohio, is seeking a full-time Probate Paralegal to join our team. The Probate Paralegal will assist our attorneys and other paralegals with paralegal and administrative duties and meet with clients regularly.

In this role, you can expect to:
- Manage probate matters with independence from start to finish including meeting with clients, preparing pleadings and filings, monitoring and conducting all correspondence, and maintaining all probate accounting.
- Collaborate with our attorneys to seek resolutions to various probate, trust, or guardianship issues.
- Balance checkbooks, maintain both paper and paperless file systems, and prepare invoices.
- Multi-task and prioritize work based on deadlines, caseload, and client requests.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Estate Administration, Trust Administration and Guardianships.
- Motivated to provide exceptional client service in every interaction.
- The ability to show empathy at a time of great difficulty.
- An attention to detail that is unmatched by your peers.
- High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree is preferred.
- Working knowledge of standard probate terminology, documentation, pleading requirements, processes and requirements, and practice area norms.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new computer systems and software.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize work, set own goals, and manage deadlines.
- Exceptional file and matter management.
- Mastery of multiple calendars and upcoming due dates so that items are prepared before you are even asked.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years in a professional legal office environment.
- Proficiency with Lackner, PerfectForm, or Puritas Springs.
- Experience using software platforms such as Adobe Acrobat, Clio, QuickBooks Online, Trello, LawPay, and electronic signature web applications.
