Responsibilities:
- Conduct activities of the Plastic Lined Steel Department in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the Company.
- Assemble custom products based on the specifications from sales order requirements, sales personnel, customer requirements and industry regulations by means of cutting and welding steel pipe, assembling plastic liner into steel piping. Follows standard fabrication quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Inspects, tests and evaluates final product for proper dimensions, fit, and finish to meet Harrington and quality standards.
- Determines shipping schedules based on customer’s requirements and existing inventory. Tracks orders and investigates problems. Prepares and prioritizes fabrication schedules and coordinates activities to ensure product quality and product specifications.
- Receives and inspects incoming materials and products for accuracy and completeness and resolves inconsistencies. Confirms that materials and products received meet specifications ordered.
- Coordinate and complete orders from walk-in customers by entering the orders into the computer system, checking customer files for discount information, pulling ordered materials, packaging them as needed, completing required paperwork and collecting payment for cash sales. Forward completed paperwork to the office for further processing.
- Process returned materials from customers by verifying quantities and inspecting materials for credit worthiness. Send information to Inside Sales personnel for further processing. Hold materials in separate area pending approval of credit and instructions from inside sales personnel or the office manager to re-stock.

- Forklift driving experience
- Must frequently lift and move 20 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Industrial distribution experience in the pipe, valve and fittings industry, a PLUS
