PumpMan Cleveland has an exciting opportunity for an Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Maple Heights, OH.
The ideal candidate will have a robust background in technical sales, a passion for cultivating client relationships, and a deep understanding of the Cleveland and Ohio territory.
Key Requirements:
At least 7 years of experience with pumps, motors, and equipment associated with the water and wastewater industry
Willingness to commute regularly within the state of Ohio
Strong technical knowledge of pumps, motors, and equipment used in the water & wastewater industry
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Existing contacts in the Cleveland municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors (highly desirable)
Responsibilities:
Grow the direct Municipal, Industrial, and Commercial sales markets in Cleveland and surrounding areas within Ohio
Prospecting local businesses for replacement, maintenance, and service needs.
Provide technical advice and customized solutions to customers
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals
Follow-up on incoming sales and service leads
Maintain relationships with customers, provide ongoing sales support and service support
Collaborate with the repair team to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project completion
Assist with the continued development and expansion of our product offerings
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and competitor activities
Represent the company at trade shows and industry events in the state of Ohio
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of pumps, motors, repair processes, and industry standards
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the Cleveland area
Preferred Qualifications:
Established network of contacts in Cleveland’s municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors
Familiarity with local building codes and regulations related to pump and motor systems
Experience in selling to government agencies or large corporations
