The Senior Pump Field Service Technician is responsible for providing expert-level service, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various pump, water & wastewater systems in the field. Key Responsibilities
Installation and Commissioning.
Perform installation, alignment, and commissioning of new pump systems at client sites.
Ensure equipment meets design and performance specifications.
Maintenance and Repairs:
Conduct routine preventive maintenance and scheduled service of pump systems, including centrifugal, positive displacement, submersible, and other types of pumps.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and execute effective repairs in the field.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve operational problems with pump systems, including performance inefficiencies and failures.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective measures.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed service records, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and client communication.
Prepare technical reports to document service outcomes and recommendations.
Leadership and Mentorship:
Lead service projects and direct the work of junior technicians and apprentices.
Provide training and mentorship to develop team skills and expertise.
Client Support:
Interact with clients professionally, provide clear communication regarding service activities, and recommend maintenance best practices.
Assist clients in understanding the operation and maintenance of their pump systems.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to company safety protocols and industry standards to ensure safe working conditions.
Comply with all relevant regulations, such as OSHA, and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Travel:
Travel to client sites as required for field service work, including overnight or extended stays.
Be available for emergency callouts and weekend work as needed.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in mechanical/electrical fields preferred.
Experience:
10 years of field service experience working with water & wastewater pump systems; experience with various pump types and brands is essential.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced understanding of pump components, hydraulics, and electrical systems related to pump and water treatment operations.
Certifications:
Certifications related to pump maintenance and repair, such as those from the Hydraulic Institute or similar organizations, are a plus.
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs).
