What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Harrington Raceway & Casino?
Responsible for the prompt, friendly greeting and proper seating of all guests to the restaurant. Ensures the smooth operation of the front of the restaurant. Complies with all department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, internal controls, and government rules and regulations. Maintains seating log and directs the flow of work for both wait staff and bus persons. Promotes positive public and employee relations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities and duties
- Must maintain a pleasant, congenial personality and a positive disposition.
- Good Attendance/ Must be well groomed, dressed in provided uniform with company issued non-skid shoes.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including all weekends and holidays.
- Cleaning and clearing of all tables in the Food Outlet.
- Properly stocks and maintains outlet side stations.
- Fill ice and change soda canisters as needed, maintain par level throughout shift.
- Check stations for stock of glassware; help maintain par level throughout shift.
- Rotate and put away all paper stock in appropriate place.
- Break down all stock boxes and place in appropriate locations.
- Complies with all department rules, regulations, policies, procedures and internal controls, and all local, state and government rules and regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent or related experience required.
- Friendly, outgoing and congenial.
- Must be capable of working with others as a team player.
- Must wear non-skid shoes and provided uniform.
- Minimum 18 years old.
- No recent felony convictions.
