Job Description

Harrington Restaurant Equipment Co in Butte, MT has a full-time opening for an Equipment Service Technician and Equipment Installer. We are seeking a motivated, responsible, and positive individual to respond to customer service calls and provide diagnostics, maintenance, installation and repair of restaurant equipment that includes but is not limited to walk-in coolers/freezers, metal cabinets, and cooking equipment, beer and liquor systems and casino style equipment. Service calls and equipment installations may be local or out of town and occasional overnight stays will be required. During the day, the individual may work independently with limited supervision. The Technician must be able to work well with others and be able to work in many different environments and weather conditions. We are interested in individuals with strong work ethic, customer service skills, and ambition to move up.

The Equipment Service Technician position requires regular lifting, carrying, pulling and/or moving equipment on hand trucks, equipment carts, and dollies periodically over the workday. The position requires kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling and bending when delivering and servicing equipment. The job often requires the individual to work in small areas and climb stairs and steps.

SALARY : $20.00 per hour DOE

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Must have basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills.
• Performs troubleshooting on certain types of equipment.
• Services, maintains, and installs equipment at customer locations.
• Travels to customer location and stays overnight when job requires.
• Communicates effectively and in a pleasant fashion with all customers and co-workers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Entry level position
• 18 years or older
• GED or equivalent
• Must reside in the Butte area
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must successfully pass drug test, background check and physical skills test
