Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is clean and functional.
- Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation as required.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities of daily living.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide excellent patient service.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of rehabilitation practices.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is preferred.
- Experience or coursework related to geriatrics or acute care settings is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is beneficial but not required.
- Must be able to lift and assist patients as needed.
