What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Technician position at Harris and Renshaw Physical Therapy?
Harris and Renshaw Physical Therapy is an Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic located in Central Arkansas. We have 4 locations and provide a multidisciplinary approach consisting of PT, OTs, ATCs, and PTAs.
We currently have open positions at both our NLR and Sherwood locations.
The Therapy Technician assists physical and occupational therapists with rehabilitation treatment and patient care. They are responsible for assisting with the administration of physical and occupational therapy treatment only under the direct supervision of the staff occupational and physical therapist. The Therapy Tech also assists the licensed physical and occupational therapist with restoration of patient function in order to prevent injury, disease or physical disability. They will assist the physical and occupational therapist by helping patients reach their maximum performance and level of function while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
Responsibilities include:
-Prepare and clean treatment area for patient use.
-Beginning and End of day closing duties
-Record treatment/service revisions in accordance with clinic policy.
-Requires competency in assisting therapists with daily care and patient exercises as delegated.
-Demonstrate ability to be flexible, organized and function under busy environment.
-Maintain a good working relationship with other staff members.
-Requires effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers.
-Communicates to therapists on patient performance, condition and participation during patient activities.
-Defers any information requests from physicians, patients, visitors, etc. regarding the patient's condition, diagnosis, prognosis, progress, plan of care or discharge plan to therapists.
-Regular cleaning of equipment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Internship
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
