Harris Beverage Sales Rep-Small Format Pre-Sell Convenient stores

Looking for energetic person with a good sales personality. Must be quick, intelligent and able to adapt well to new situations. Being able to connect with customers is very important in this position. Selected candidate must be highly organized, have the ability to work in an unsupervised environment and able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communications skills. Other responsibilities include managing designated customer accounts and achieving sales, marketing and distribution goals/quotas, securing displays, providing accurate and timely communication to management of sales and market related issues affecting successful performance, staying abreast of industry trends, and maintain detailed sales, marketing and merchandising records for all assigned accounts.

This position is required to assist in various ways to support distribution and sales to our customers utilizing various methods within the Small Format Convenient Store category. Our customers expect excellent service and the role of a Sales Rep helps in making sure that service levels are executed as needed and required. The position will be the main source of our service with our customers. This person must be reliable, able to work on his or her own with min. supervision, communicate well both verbally and in writing. The job also requires driving company vehicles such as vans and must have a valid NC Class C license plus a clean driving record. This job not only includes selling but it is also very physical. Must have the ability to lift up to 75 Lbs repetitively. This job is not a delivery job. Product is delivered via our transport team to the store once the product is ordered. Each Sales Rep will have a customized work schedule based on the needs of the service levels assigned to a specific region. A Harris vehicle will be assigned to the sales rep to used only for on the job and must be properly maintained per Harris Beverages standards.

The beverages that we mostly sell is beer which includes BUDWEISER, BUD LIGHT, MICHELOB ULTRA, NATURAL LIGHT, WICKED WEED and beers from SWEETWATER, CAROLINA BREWERY, LONE RIDER, SYCAMORE, APPALACHIAN MOUNTAIN BREWERY, SOUTHERN PINE BREWERY and many more. We also sell and distribute great non-alcoholic brands such a C4 ENERGY, CALYPSO LEMONADE, ESSENTIA WATER, SPARKLING ICE, PRIME HYDRATION and many others.

The Successful Beverage Sales Rep will be trained on the following:

• Proper ordering techniques and process
• Maintain proper inventory of Harris distributed products
• Selling and communication techniques within company standards
• Understand and be an authority on Harris Beverages portfolio of various brands
• Attain sales rep certification and Cicerone level one status
• Ensure that the backroom of stores are well maintained and organized as per company standards. This includes but not limited to the following:
• Consolidated inventory to minimize excess space
• All items stored are to be rotated to maintain the freshest product available (as per Harris Beverages standards)
• Repair or fix any damaged goods within reason (repack, etc.)
• Keep clutter to a minimum and ensure a safe working environment
• Ensure that the sales areas of the store are filled properly with all existing stock and that they are merchandised correctly which includes proper rotation, proper facing.
• Report any issues at store level to his or her immediate sales rep assigned to that store and/or to the assigned team leader. Issues can range from out of stocks, out of dates, issues with store personnel, etc.

The Beverage Sales rep will report directly to the team leader within their respective sales group.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
