Manager, Premium Partnerships

POSITION SUMMARY:

The New Jersey Devils & Prudential Center are looking for a highly motived individual to join our Premium team as the Manager, Premium Partnerships. The individual in this role will be responsible for developing and cultivating client relationships and new premium hospitality partners throughout the New Jersey and Tri-State area.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Consistently meet and exceed annual new revenue goals and expectations set forth by the leadership team and organization;
• Executing upon customized and targeted premium seating sales strategies to optimize revenue and profitability for the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center, with a focus on the sale of annual suite leases, studio suites, loge boxes, lounge seats, and multi-night event suite rentals;
• Providing high level of service to all individual event suite rentals targeting year-over-year revenue generation
• Scheduling and conducting in-arena, virtual, and offsite appointments throughout Northern New Jersey and the greater NYC Tri-State area with potential prospects and sales leads
• Attending and periodically leading weekly departmental sales and event-related meetings
• Upselling and generating new premium leads via inbound and outbound phone calls, form submits, emails, meetings, arena tours, social media, and other effective means;
• Tracking and managing business leads, utilizing systems to effectively manage current and prospective client data, ultimately resulting in increased sales;
• Attending home games and special events to ensure fulfillment of premium partnerships and entertain current & prospective premium partners;
• Performing all other tasks and responsibilities as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree required;
• Knowledge of Sports & Entertainment business preferred with a minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience
• Must be able to develop and nurture relationships with business owners and C-suite executives;
• Must be a strategic and critical thinker who is dynamic, forward thinking, extremely analytical and well organized
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when privy to sensitive information;
• Must possess outstanding problem-solving capabilities to address and resolve issues that face a growing enterprise;
• Must possess a strong research background, time management skills, and be an “out-of-the-box-thinker”;
• Must have the ability to rise to the challenge and provide the hard work necessary to succeed;
• Must be self-confident, resilient and possess a high energy level and enthusiasm;
• Must have well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide variety of audiences, demonstrating strong communication skills;
• Must be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills
• Must be flexible & reliable team player, both within own department and within company as a whole;
• Must have the ability to maintain a professional overall demeanor in front of internal and external stakeholders

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Travel Requirements: May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
• Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
• Work Environment: This position generally requires that work be performed from the Prudential Center/New Jersey Devils offices, but attendance at events taking place in the arena or offsite, including on weekends and/or holidays, may be required.
