What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Civil CAD Designer position at Harris Civil Engineers?
We are seeking a full-time Senior Designer. The position will assist in all phases of site development / civil engineering including grading design, storm water design, and utility design. The successful candidate must have strong capabilities in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Excel. Our designers are involved in several projects at one time involving numerous team members, exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with others is essential.This is an in-office position. The successful candidate will be expected to work full-time from our Orlando office.
Two-year associate degree or technical school degree or higher.Minimum of ten years of civil-related drafting experience utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D modeling, including setup and use of alignments, profiles, surfaces, assemblies, corridors, and earthwork quantity calculations.Proficient in Microsoft Office software, Sketch-Up, and other related software packages.Experience with applying drafting standards and established company procedures.Submits documentation packages and prepares drawing sets and standard operating procedures.Ensures the maintenance of drawing files for active projects.Responsible for staying current with the latest developments in CAD.Handles multiple concurrent projects.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently to assist with project completion.Self-motivated and willing to learn.Comfortable working in a team environment.An attitude and commitment to actively participate in our employee-owned culture is required.
