Position Overview:
This role is perfect for an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager who thrives in managing complex highway and bridge construction projects. The successful candidate will lead a team, oversee project execution, and ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple large-scale highway and bridge construction projects from inception to completion.
- Lead project teams, ensuring clear communication and coordination across all stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with estimating and procurement teams on project bids and contract negotiations.
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Mentor and support project staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 10 years of experience in highway and bridge construction, with 5 years in a senior project management capacity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Caltrans standards and procedures.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage large teams and complex projects.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
