This role involves managing the program portfolio with minimal supervision while ensuring adherence to federal grant regulations and policies. This position may require fieldwork and site visits. This job also requires travel within Harris County to interface with community members, visit construction sites, and sometimes light labor work in support of field or emergency personnel. This job would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This job will also require traveling to and walking around job sites, community centers, and office buildings. In addition:

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Oversee the planning, design, and construction of architectural projects, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and community needs.
- Grant Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations related to grants; prepare and submit required documentation for grant funding.
- Project Oversight: Monitor project time lines, budgets, and quality to ensure successful delivery; identify and mitigate risks throughout the project life cycle.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, community members, and contractors, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on program progress, funding status, and compliance issues to senior management and relevant authorities.
- Policy Adherence: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies and regulations affecting architecture and construction projects; implement best practices to ensure compliance.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead coworkers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Requirements
Education:
- Advanced degree in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited university
- A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in the management of multi-disciplined projects in architecture, engineering, or construction fields
- Strong understanding of architectural design and construction processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with federal grant processes and compliance regulations.
- Valid driver's license (Texas by hire date) and a good driving record.
