What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Relations Coordinator position at Harris County?
A Client Relations Coordinator is an individual who uses their life experiences to advocate for the indigent who have been accused of a crime. Client Relations Coordinators assist the attorneys, clients, and their families by increasing support, understanding, education, and communication as they fight for the best possible outcome navigating the criminal legal system.
The goal of a Client Relations Coordinator is to narrow the gaps in the criminal legal system by being a vessel that extends the reach of all parties involved in the client’s defense.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Good communication skills, willingness to assist in providing zealous advocacy for persons accused of crimes in Harris County, willingness to work in a team environment as part of a team, willingness to work with the families of accused persons, willingness to deal with difficult/misunderstood people/personalities and willingness to go inside jails and inside courtrooms to assist people in custody.

- Computer literacy, someone with first hand experience in the criminal legal system either as an accused person, a family member of an accused person, or other person impacted by the criminal legal system.
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
Regular Full-time
Monday – Friday | 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Some weekend work may be required

Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
