Under general supervision of the Facilities Maintenance Manager, As an Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical activities within our organization. This includes supervising a team of electricians and HVAC technicians, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating with other departments to achieve project goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical systems, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of electricians and HVAC technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and high-quality work. Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate and plan electrical & HVAC projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, task assignment, and documentation. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution. Oversee troubleshooting activities to identify and resolve electrical issues promptly.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards. Provide technical assistance and guidance to team members as needed. Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for electrical & HVAC systems.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures for electrical installations and repairs. Conduct inspections to verify work quality and adherence to specifications. Enforce and promote a culture of safety within the electrical team. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Prepare regular reports on project progress, team performance, and any issues encountered.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to procure materials and services required for electrical projects. Ensure vendor and contractor compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Keep abreast of changes in electrical and HVAC regulations to ensure the team's adherence to all relevant codes and standards. Interface with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits. Integrate environmentally sustainable practices into projects where applicable. Explore and recommend energy-efficient solutions to minimize environmental impact.
- Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management or as necessitated by the evolving needs of the organization.

Education:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Experience:
- Six (6) years of relevant experience in commercial, industrial, or residential electrical work
- Three (3) years of supervisory/management experience
Licensure:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician
- Valid Class C Texas driver’s license and good driving record
- Proficient working knowledge of computers, office equipment, and related software comprised of Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to become proficient in asset management & work management systems
- Knowledge of leadership principles and management techniques with the ability to mentor and develop team members
- Ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities while maintaining accountability
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including design, installation, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with the latest advancements and technologies in the field, NFPE 70e standard
- A thorough understanding of local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations; ability to interpret and ensure compliance with safety standards and industry guidelines
- Ability to work well with all levels of management, staff, as well as a diverse group of constituents; must exhibit polite and professional communications via phone, in person, and email
- Self-starter possessing good interpersonal skills and being a productive team member

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
Full-time | Monday - Friday | 40 hours per week
Hours may vary based on business needs of the department and some weekend, evening hours or holidays may be required during special events. Situations may require additional hours without prior notice. Required to work on-site during an emergency event along with rotating weekly on-call schedule.

Frequently required to walk, sit, talk, drive, hear, bend, stoop, twist, and balance.
